The Safety Institute releases a Vehicle Safety Watch List on a quarterly basis with the purpose of identifying automobiles with the potential for dangerous defects. The most recent list was released on April 2, 2019 and included statistics from injury and death claims from Early Warning Reports.
While The Safety Institute’s list may not include vehicle defects that have been announced and made official, it does identify dangers that may deserve further investigation as a result of dangerous reports from consumers.
